COMING SOON:

  • Book a Consultation – Make an appointment to talk to a certified LEVA technician for input on your personal build, be it an Ebike, scooter, PEV, etc… we’ve got you covered!
  • Virtual CHAT – Schedule a video chat for up-close and personal input where sharing specific issues is necessary.
  • HOW-TO Videos – Sharing tips and tricks for building and upgrading your ride.
  • YOU-TUBE CHANNEL — Launching my own channel for a twist on what can be done with LEV’s for personal and business use. Emphasizing SAFETY with the addition of LIGHTS and other accessories, I plan on continuing to focus on “BEST VALUE” for upgrades and initial builds that suit the individual needs of the rider.
  • Build Your BIKE – Pick a frame, choose a motor, add equipment/ accessories and get professional input as needed from ME to make it ALL HAPPEN!

WHAT You (THE RIDER) Can Expect from Me: I want this site to be a “one-stop-shop” for building the perfect bike/ moped/ e-cycle to fit the needs of the rider, so I’m focusing on MTB as well as moped and enduro style frames. ALSO, I’m in the process of evolving into a Fund Raising Business to raise money for not-for-profit businesses whose goals overlap the PEV industry. This basically means holding raffles to win a custom e-bike build, and charging monthly fees (likely $.99/month) for access to videos and other “behind the scenes” footage; then sponsoring such things as refurbishing bicycles, wheel chairs/ ramps, and even repair/ upgrade vouchers, etc.

GENERAL PRICING: (Please bear with me as I update pricing to include a better “quick-reference” breakdown below)

750 Watt motors and below — TBA

1000 – 1500 Watt motors — TBA

Dual Motor Kits — TBA

FEATURING GOLDEN MOTOR conversion kits which I appreciate for use on FAT BIKES — these motors have 56 magnets as opposed to the more typical 50 or 52 for 1-5Kw motors. These motors are rated for 1000Watts constant/ 1500W max and pair well with 26″Fat Tire MTB’s also due to the INTERNAL CONTROLLER!! Nice starting torque and top speed of 31-33mph (about 55kph) allows for both road and off-road use, for exercise, fun and everything in between. ALSO I’m only dealing with quality batteries such as Golden Motor brand, which are UL equivalent so I won’t be recommending any “cheap” batteries here. !**! (Typically LG – 18650) AND further features include regenerative braking with power cut-off, cruise control, 3-color lighted battery level indicator, optional display, and internal controller which cuts down on external wiring and controller placement.

GOLDEN MOTOR is my “GO TO” motor for road/ street use (with a little extra) – meaning it can be limited by rpm to only go 28mph for example, and with the Bluetooth dongle, can be changed via phone app in about 30 seconds to raise it up as needed for “OFF-ROAD”. The phone app provides a cool speedometer, voltage, battery output and rpm, adding a “digital dashboard” effect to the experience. PLUS they even have a nice 500Watt geared hub motor that I’m going to put on the FRONT WHEEL of at least one aluminum MTB frame that I currently have, making for a super light version of electric assist and still getting around 25mph or more.

My soon-to-be-upgraded shopping page(s) will reflect several hub motors available to at least 8Kw, and mid drive motors to as high as 20Kw.

I have two builds to complete before I finally make the 3Kw build happen (I have the motor but haven’t found a suitable frame): ONE is a 1.5Kw 26″ fat tire direct drive rear motor (1.8Kw Max); Two is a 1.5Kw fat tire direct drive rear motor (2.5Kw Max) – both on Stealth Bomber (or similar) enduro style frames and will be raffled off for fund raising as described above.

FUN FACTS:

MPGe (Miles Per Gallon Equivalent) Comparing electric transportation to gas powered looks like this:

A gallon of gasoline has approximately 33Kwh of power (33,000 Watt hours). A 48V 17.5Ah battery has 840 Watt hours of power on a single charge, so it would take 39 full charges to use 33Kwh. Assuming an average of 22 miles on each charge (fairly LOW ESTIMATE), this works out to 858 miles – meaning 858 MPGe!

I have personally experienced this with two e-bikes, each having just over 1000 miles, one has a 14Ah battery, the other 24Ah, both 48V. The smaller one averages about 25 miles on a single charge (between 20 and 30 typically), and the larger one more like 35 (30-40 typically).

Applying the same formula with these averages and the 14Ah battery gets about 1,225 MPGe; and the larger battery gets about 1,001 MPGe.

This range of 800-1,200 MPGe is fairly typical with pedal assist LEV’s. (and if you are wondering why the bigger battery isn’t getting more MPGe than the smaller battery, the reason is weight – the bike is about 25 pounds heavier, plus another 15-20 at any given time with stuff in the saddle bags.)
